College Scholarships

Since 1954, more than 200 high school seniors in Catawba County have been assisted with college tuition expenses through our Scholarship Endowment program. Students receive assistance based on financial need, academic achievement, leadership and work ethic.

THE SERVICE LEAGUE AWARDS

• Scholarship Endowment Fund - $10,000 ($2,500/year for four years)
• Glenn C. Hilton, Jr. Scholarship Endowment Fund - $10,000 ($2,500/year for four years)
• Beulah Mae Jones Mitchell Scholarship Endowment Fund - $10,000 ($2,500/year for four years)
• Other monies yearly as one-time merit awards

Application forms are available in late January through every Catawba County Area High School Guidance Department. Donations, honor and memorial gifts continue the growth of these funds. These gifts can be mailed directed to the Service League of Hickory.
