The Service League of Hickory's 6th Annual Kitchens & More Tour was a great success. The 2011 event featured five Hickory homes, with tastings and demonstrations from local chefs, musical performances at each home, and boutique items and home made desserts and soup for sale at the League House, along with art for sale from "Arts for Life."

Proceeds have been distributed among the following Catawba County non-profit organizations:
- Brett's Ride for Pediatric Cancer Research
- Catawba Science Center - The Free Friday Program
- Safe Harbor - Good Neighbor Project
- Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina - Hickory Backpack Program
The Service League of Hickory appreciates the hours of time given by many in our community and its members. Their efforts made the 2011 Kitchens & More Tour a success.
The 2012 Kitchens & More Tour will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012.
