Backpack Program
The Backpack Program with Hickory City Schools provides nutritious food for children to take home on weekends and holidays when other resources are not available. Backpacks are packed by Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and distributed to the five Hickory City Elementary Schools. League members are involved in the delivery of the backpacks to the schools and also with picking up the empty packs for refilling at the food bank.
